Daniel Wright’s World Collective (new music video 7.27)

l_05556a71d7c19f262b73e52aee78df2d1.jpgI just had the great fun and pleasure of seeing Daniel Wright’s World Collective band during their two-week tour of the Bay Area and Northern’ California in June 2007. Daniel is the songwriter, guitarist and vocalist for the six-member band, and they perform his original music. Daniel’s musical influences include Paul Simon, Brian Wilson, John Lennon and Beck, and he has his own unique style, ranging from very danceable rock to more acoustic songs with personal lyrics that go from playful to deep. Many of his songs stick with you and I find myself singing them long after a show ends. The incredible musicality of the band is very impressive and gives the group a rich musical sound. Three of the members are attending or have graduated Berklee College of Music: Daniel, Patrick Brusil (cello, vocals, and 2nd saxaphone), and Matan Chapnizka (saxaphone). The other three have graduated or are attending New England Conservatory: Haggai Cohen Milo (upright bass), Mike Calabrese (drums) and Dov Manski (keyboard). The group has good chemistry together and every show was enjoyable. I am looking forward to their CD so I can hear their music all the time.
